He recalls pulling metal rods through the molten glass to achieve the striations. "Lotus Rising" was created in memory of one of their founding members, Johnnie Giles. The lotus is a symbol of friendship, goodness and rebirth. This flower features a subtle figure in the center, with arms extended outward and upward. The rising petals symbolize all the individuals who Johnnie mentored and uplifted. Some petals are mirrors so that viewers can remember the profound impact that Johnnie had on their lives. |
